BJP State president asks the AP government to allow devotees to take a holy dip in Tungabhadra.
The renowned Tungabhadra Pushkaram has commenced on Friday, and the AP government is not providing necessary facilities to the people, says AP BJP State president Somu Veerraju.
On Friday, BJP has submitted a memorandum to the Andhra Pradesh government to supply the river water through pipelines, so that the devotees take a holy dip in the water during Puskaram.
Speaking to media, the BJP State president asked, what is the purpose of spending ₹200 crores on Pushkar ghats when the devotees don’t have the facility to take the holy dip in the river directly.
He said the BJP has already submitted a memorandum to Jagan-led government to look at the possibilities to supply the river water through the pipelines.
Giving his views on the ongoing fight between SEC and the AP government, Veerraju said the state government is more focusing on the Gram Panchayat Elections rather than providing facilities for the devotees at Tungabhadra Pushkarams.
Further, he said, the SEC should get rid of the unanimous seats that YSRCP has won during the last nomination and issue a new notification.
