TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar issues key directives to RTC drivers

VC Sajjanar, who recently took over as Telangana RTC MD, issued sensational orders.Responding to complaints that RTC buses were parked in the middle of the road for picking up passengers and causing accidents, VC Sajjanar issued the recent orders.

He felt that the reputation of the RTC was being tarnished by such incidents and initiated remedial action.

Orders were issued not to stop buses in the middle of the road anymore.

The orders said that stopping buses in the middle of the road was against the traffic rules, and if the traffic police imposed a fine, the driver should bear and pay the fine.

Moreover, he warned that disciplinary action would also be taken on the RTC drivers in case of such incidents.

It was suggested that drivers should be alerted as it is a crime to stop buses in the middle of the road.Hence, boards would be set up at diesel banks before coming onto the roads from the depot.

Also, the Supervisors are required to explain this to drivers before issuing duty charts.The orders also said that drivers should be made aware of the strict action to be taken against those who act contrary to the regulations.
