The Telangana government has reportedly decided to restore the RTC services and strengthen the Corporation.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a crucial decision regarding the TSRTC employees on Sunday.
The Chief Minister has reportedly asked the state Finance Department to immediately release Rs 120 crore to the TSRTC towards the payment of two months salaries which have put on hold during the lockdown period.
Speaking at a high-level review meeting on TSRTC at Pragati Bhavan here, the Chief Minister has asked the officials to make necessary arrangements to restore the RTC services to pre-Covid days.
Besides, he has also asked to increase the bus services by 50 per cent.At present, the bus services are running at 25 per cent in Greater Hyderabad owing to Covid-19.
KCR said the pandemic slowed down the TSRTC services, and the state government will take necessary steps to bring back the profits very soon.After discussing measures to be initiated in future, KCR assured the support to revive and strengthen the TSRTC and also the job security to its employees.
Of late, KCR made sure that he will make all efforts to protect the TSRTC and does not let it fall in privatization as long as he is alive.
