Telangana RTC is planning to bring cargo services closer to its customers with better reach.The mobile app will be available in a week or ten days for booking cargo services.
This will allow customers to access cargo services from home.
A senior RTC official said that the service will be expanded by making the Cargo Mobile app available in Greater Hyderabad and Telangana, similar to international commercial giants like Amazon and Flipkart.
Currently, cargo services are provided by 150 RTC buses.
With this, customers will no longer have to rush to bus stations and RTC parcel centres for their parcels.
There is also no need to go to bus stations for bookings.
So far, 15 lakh parcels have been moved through RTC Cargo Services.More than 60 per cent of parcels from Greater Hyderabad alone are moving to Telangana districts and various parts of AP.
“We want to make RTC Cargo available to our customers with the help of another private company for a better reach.The company delivers goods collected from customers to RTC Cargo.It also door delivers cargo from various bus stations to customers,” said an RTC official.
