The Telangana state government is likely to increase the fuel and electricity charges in the state.As per the reports, the electricity department and the RTC are incurring huge losses.
The ministers of the respective departments brought this to the notice of Chief Minister KCR.They sought CM KCR’s guidance.
As the Telangana RTC is incurring losses, recently, the Telangana state government has appointed VC Sajannar as MD of TSRTC and Bajireddy Govardhan Reddy as Chairman of TSRTC to improve the status of TSRTC.Responding to ministers’ requests, CM KCR promised to discuss and make a decision on these issues at the next cabinet meeting.
Recently, Chief Minister KCR conducted a review on Telangana RTC and power departments at Pragati Bhavan.Ministers KTR, Puvada Ajay Kumar, Jagadish Reddy, RTC Chairman Bajireddy Govardhan, CS Somesh Kumar, Special Principal Secretaries of Transport and Finance Sunil Sharma, Ramakrishna Rao, RTC MD VC Sajjanar, Transco CMD Prabhakar Rao and others accompanied CM KCR.
Speaking on this occasion, CM KCR said that in addition to the corona pandemic, Telangana RTC is incurring losses due to the rise in diesel prices.From this, it seems like the RTC and electricity charges will increase in Telangana.
