In this context, the union govt has made it mandatory for hospitals to set up oxygen plants in public and private hospitals with more than 100 beds.Also, in this context, it has issued notices to those hospitals.

The union govt has ordered to set up oxygen production tanks in the hospital premises by the end of this month.

The Hyderabad officials were alerted with this, and they ordered the public and private hospitals in Telangana to set up self oxygen plants in hospital premises as soon as possible.

Currently, there are 150 corporate and private hospitals in Greater Hyderabad.Of these, there are 19,697 normal beds, 16,405 oxygen, and 8,486 ventilator beds.

The Telangana Medical Health Department estimates that at least 384 tonnes of oxygen per day are required for the full range of medical services in the respective hospitals.In this context, the District Medical Health Officers are issuing warrants to the hospitals under their purview.
