The Chief Secretary of the Telangana state government, Somesh Kumar, has directed the district Collectors to work at the field level to complete 100 per cent Covid vaccination in the state.He said the coronavirus had mutated again in Britain, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Germany, Netherlands and China.
In this context, it was suggested that special teams be set up at the village / municipal ward level to take up vaccination in the state.
The CS mentioned that the team should comprise an Asha worker, Anganwadi worker, Panchayat Secretary and VRA as its members.
Also, he said that one nodal officer and a special officer should be appointed for every village and zone, respectively.
In a video conference with district Collectors on Covid vaccination in the state, Chief Secretary to the Telangana Government Somesh Kumar said that three crore vaccine doses have been administered in the state so far.
Speaking on this occasion, CS said that vaccine doses and syringes are adequate in the state.Senior officials of various departments Sandeep Kumar Sultania, SAM Rizvi, Seshadri, Raghunandan Rao, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, Satyanarayana, Sarfaraz Ahmed, A Sarath, Divyadevarajan, Gadala Srinivas Rao, Ramesh Reddy and others attended the meeting.
