Washington 9th, August : The latest photos posted on the internet reveal that the former US President Donald Trump appeared to have deleted government documents ripped up and flushed down the toilet.
New York Times’ reporter Maggie Haberman obtained the document dump images to use in “Confidence Man”, her forthcoming book about the Trump White House, reports the news agency dpa.

Despite Trump’s denials, photographs show shards of newspaper in two toilet bowls with his signature handwriting.

“Some (Trump) advisors knew of the practice that he engaged in frequently,” Haberman told Axios which published the incriminating photos.

“It was an extension of Trump’s long-running habit of cutting up documents that were meant to be protected.”

According to the report According to the report, one of the images is of toilets in the White House while another is from a trip abroad.

It’s impossible to discern the matter of the documents that were destroyed.However, the title “Stefanik” appears to be a reference to the representative from upstate Elise Stefanik, is legible on a single sheet of paper.

The former President slammed the latest report through his spokesman Tyler Budowich.

“You need to be eager to make sales of books when photos of paper in the toilet bowl are part of your marketing plan,” said Budowich.

The president twice impeached was infamous for ripping documents in his rages and rants and requiring aides to gather scraps, which later required tape together and sent to the National Archives.

Trump also brought several boxes filled with documents, including ones with the words “CLASSIFIED” with him to his Florida estate when he quit the White House on January 20 2021.

The actions could be in violation of the Presidential Records Act, which declares that the documents are property of the government and must be kept.
