As predicted TRS won Warangal By polls.Pasunuri Dayakar of TRS won with thumping majority.
Leading oppositions Congress, TDP-BJP lost their deposits along with 20 other candidates including Communists, YSRCP and independents
The by-poll result has not come as a shock to the opposition parties. The defeat of the Congress was expected but the victory margin of the ruling TRS is certainly a matter of huge disappointment for them.
The party’s candidate got the majority more than of the previous MP of Warangal Lok Sabha constituency Kadiyam Srihari. This is a record majority in a Lok Sabha election in Telangana state.
With over 6,04,021 votes in his favor, Dayakar got a majority of 4,50,104.In 2014 elections, Srihari had won by a massive majority of 3.92 lakh votes.
Dayakar’s majority even exceeded the majority secured by his party president KCR in 2014 election from Medak Lok Sabha constituency which was 3,97,027.The by-poll was necessitated following the resignation of sitting TRS MP K Srihari after he became Telangana Deputy Chief Minister.
