Hyderabad 8th August : A TRS leader who broke into the home of TRS MLA A.Jeevan Reddy with guns to murder him, was taken into custody, Hyderabad police said on Monday.
Paddagani Prasad Goud Paddagani Prasad Goud, a TRS leader from the Nizamabad district was nabbed by the police.The police also confiscated a gun made in the country with additional magazine and an air pistol three boxes of air rifle pellets and the button knife.

The police have revealed that, on the night of August 1st, Prasad was at the house of the MLA in Banjara Hills and pointed at him with a gun as he was preparing to eat dinner.After seeing the suspect, Jeevan Reddy shouted to inform his staff and the suspect fled the scene.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police Joel Davis told reporters that Prasad was angry with the MLA because he believed he was the one responsible for the being the cause of the suspension of his wife Lavanya as Sarpanch of Kalladi village in Makloor mandal (block) and also for not paying the Rs 20 lakh due to the outstanding bills of the development projects being undertaken in the village.

Prasad who was in charge of the duties of his wife, racked up Rs 20 lakh for development work out of his pockets.

In February of this year the District Collector had suspended Lavanya as Sarpanch as a result of an inquiry made by Makloor MPA regarding some irregularities.After the suspension, the bills were not paid.

The accused was convinced that the MLA had influenced the collector, and his wife was suspended.In order to hurt the MLA Prasad Goud purchased the button knife from Maharashtra’s Nanded and an air pistol from Mustafa Arms & Ammunition, Nampally, Hyderabad with the assistance of Santosh.

Prasad also was in contact with an individual named Suguna whom, in the process, introduced him and Surendhar Dayawathi via phone.The investigation by the police revealed that Suguna advised Prasad that a gun could be purchased with Munna Kumar of Bihar for Rs 60,000.

Prasad paid the money to Suguna who then transferred the firearm to Munna Kumar via D.Srihari.

On the 15th of July, Surender met Prasad at Bheemgal village, Nizamabad, and handed an old-fashioned pistol made in India, with no rounds.Prasad together with Damai Sagar travelled to Muzaffarpur in Bihar on July 25 to purchase ammunition, but Munna Kumar failed to hand over it.

On August 1st Prasad took off from Nizamabad in his vehicle with firearm, air pistol and a button knife.He arrived at the residence of the MLA in Banjara Hills.

He asked regarding the presence of the MLA through cook Gangadhar.Prasad was taken to the third floor and went to the third floor, opened the door of the bedroom of the MLA, and shot at him with a gun.When he saw the suspect, Jeevan Reddy shouted and alerted his staff.The accused fled the scene.

Police confirmed that he was detained on Sunday.

The remaining five suspects Five others – Suguna, Surender, Santosh, Sagar, and Munna Kumar – are still missing.
