TRS government is all set to revive ‘Netannaku Cheyutha’ scheme

Telangana Industries & Textiles Minister KTR has announced the resumption of the ‘Netannaku Cheyuta’ scheme, a guaranteed savings scheme for handloom weavers and ancillary weavers in the state.Handloom weavers and ancillary workers are likely to get benefited through this savings scheme.

Speaking at a review meeting on the textile sector at Pragati Bhavan, recently, the minister said, “All weavers can avail the scheme.While weavers contribute 8 per cent of their wages, the government would contribute double that amount through this scheme.” Generally, the handloom workers save 8 per cent of their wage share through this scheme.KTR said the government will deposit 16 per cent to the handloom weavers wage share and an 8 per cent wage share in the accounts of power loom workers.

He said this will help a total of 35,000 people, including 25,000 handloom workers and 10,000 power loom workers.

KTR said that this scheme applied only to handloom workers in the joint state but the TRS government is applying this scheme to ancillary workers after the emergence of Telangana.

The TRS government extended this scheme to other workers like Dyers, Designers, Weavers, Winders etc.Those who are eligible are advised to join the scheme soon.
