This comes after the Queensland government announced that travellers would have to pay A$150 ($108), for a mandatory PCR testing within 72 hours of arriving in Queensland, when the state reopens its doors to the pandemic-hit Australian Capital Territory and Victoria states.

Hunt stated to Nine Network television that the state government had “wavered” on the funding arrangement after significant backlash.

He said, “We haven’t changed anything.”
