A couple of days back star hero Kamal Haasan released the trailer of Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming Malayalam film titled ‘C U Soon’.Ever since the trailer released, fans across the globe are going gaga over this unique attempt and the trailer is racking up millions of views already.
The film is a computer screen based thriller, which was shot completely on iPhone during the lockdown.Directed by Mahesh Narayan, the film will be released directly on popular OTT platform Amazon Prime on September 1st.The film also features Roshan Mathew, Darshana Rajendran, and Saiju Kurup in significant roles.
Going by the trailer, the film is about a software engineer from Kerala, played by Fahadh, who has been assigned by his family to help his Dubai-based cousin (Roshan) find his missing fiancée (Darshana) after she leaves behind a video-based suicide note.
Will they be able to find her or not forms the rest of the story.
The footage makes it clear that the film is inspired and has a narrative format similar to the 2018 film ‘Searching’ where the story is narrated in a unique format through multiple screen devices and all the conversations happen over video messaging apps as all characters are separated by geographical boundaries.
Gopi Sundar’s background score is intriguing while cinematography by Sabin Uralikandi looks brilliant.‘C U Soon’ is Fahadh’s third collaboration with Mahesh after the critically acclaimed ‘Take Off’ and the yet-to-be-released ‘Malik’.Keep watching this space for more updates!
