Chennai 17 August : The Tamil Nadu Health Department has initiated fever screening and vector control measures since monsoon is expected to hit in the state in the end of September this week, officials said. The state health department has formulated an action plan that requires 4000 government hospitals and 220 private hospitals across the state will be able to screen for instances of fever, look for clusters, and inform and inform the health department.health department.
Recognizing the clusters will assist the state health department to develop immediate measures to provide prompt treatment to patients and stop the spread of the disease.
The waterborne diseases like cholera as well as vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria are being monitored during the monsoon season.
The health department has already issued guidelines and guidelines to health personnel, including nurses and doctors on procedures for diagnosing and treating of illnesses like diarrhea, typhoid, and cholera, which are water-borne.
The protocol for a separate one is available for vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria.
The Tamil Nadu Health Department will employ the services of various contract employees to carry out field studies and raise awareness prior to the start of monsoon.
The preliminary steps to select of these contract workers have been completed in collaboration with local authorities across the state, a senior official said.
