San Francisco, December 30, : .Tiktok is the most downloaded short-video sharing platform on Christmas Day. App Annie estimates that there were approximately 25 million downloads worldwide on December 25, according to both the iOS and Google Play Stores.
TikTok was ahead of Instagram and Facebook in terms of Christmas Day downloads.
Mobile games were rated the highest in terms of downloads with “Brain Story: Tricky Puzzle”, Poppy Rope Game, Metro Parkour, “Free Fire”, and “ROBLOX”.
According to a report, TikTok has become the top-ranked website in the last year after Google.
Cloudflare reports that the viral video app receives more hits than US-based search engines.
According to the rankings, TikTok surpassed Google for the top spot in February and March, June and June of this year and holds the position one since August.
China-based Bytedance owns the social network.It now boasts more than 1 billion users around the globe and this number is growing.
The Indian government has banned TikTok, a popular video-sharing app for short form, from its borders with China.
