Mumbai, Nov 24, : Pankaj Tripathi has been busy shooting for Srijit Mokherjee’s next film, ‘Sherdil’.He plays the lead role.
Pankaj will share screen space with fine talents such as Neeraj Kabi or Sayani Gupta.

The shooting of “Sherdil” was originally scheduled to begin in 2020, but was delayed by the pandemic.

After a long wait, the cast and crew have now kicked off the project.Pankaj is especially thrilled.

The actor shared his experiences working with Srijit Mokherjee and said, “Srijit’s a fantastic director.” He needs no introduction.His work speaks for themselves.When the opportunity to work with ‘Sherdil,’ I was thrilled.The story is a distinct character in itself.It’s a beautiful script, and Srijit will bring each character to life.That’s his USP.

According to the film, it is based on a true incident in the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve.Villagers left elderly members of their families for the tigers to prey upon, in order to receive compensation from the administration.The forest authorities became suspicious of the alarming rate at which tigers attacked senior citizens.

Pankaj will play the role of a village chief who seeks out help from the dense jungle to save his family.Reliance Entertainment and T-Series are co-producing the film.
