New Delhi, Dec 8, 2008 : .The Delhi Police arrested three more foreign nationals with expired visas as part of their crackdown against illegally residing foreign nationals.
According to the official, three Africans were apprehended by a Dwarka police team in two separate operations.

Onyeka John Ohadum and Najma Huseinjuma were identified as the culprits.

“After verifying their credentials, it was determined that they were overstaying India without a valid visa,” the official stated.

They were brought before the Foreigners Regional Registration Officers.

Their deportation was ordered by the FRRO on Tuesday.

Notably, Dwarka’s district police recently launched Operation Varchasva in their mission to make Dwarka crime-free.

In a short time, several gangsters and snatchers have been arrested.The police also monitor illegally residing foreigners in the region.

Several African nationals who live in or around the capital are suspected of being involved in the illegal drug trade.They are regularly arrested by the police.

A Delhi Police official stated that increasing numbers of African nationals are seeking money-earning opportunities within the capital.

The mixed population of Uttam Nagar Police Station is approximately 3.75 million.Many African Nationals live in the area.Some of them have Fake Visa/Expired Visa.

“They have also been charged under the NDPS Act for supplying drugs to locals and peoples from other parts of the country.” “In addition, there are a few Cyber Fraud cases in which African Nationals have been involved,” the official said.

All three foreigners have been detained at Lumpur Border while they wait.
