The Telangana State Media Academy has made a sensational decision.It has decided to extend its helping hand to the journalists in these dire situations of the corona.

The families of the journalists who died with Covid in Telangana will receive financial assistance.Nearly 70 journalists, including senior journalists, were died in Telangana due to covid.

Telangana State Media Academy Chairman Allam Narayana said that the Media Academy has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased journalists.Also, he said that the affected families will get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month for five years.

Along with this, the students below the Tenth standard in the family of the deceased journalist will receive a maximum of two thousand as a stipend.

The Telangana state government has so far provided financial assistance of Rs 5.15 crore to covid-affected journalists in the state.The families of the deceased journalists can send their applications to the Secretary of Telangana State Media Academy, House No.10-2-1, Samachara Bhavan, Second Floor, ACGuards, Masab Tank, Telangana State Film Development Corporation Complex, Hyderabad, Telangana 500004 for Media Academy financial assistance.
