The Telangana state government decided to auction the government lands in the Kokapeta area of Hyderabad to increase the revenue.Officials say that the lands in the Kokapeta are going to bring in thousands of crores of revenue to the state government.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is going to auction 49.92 acres in the Kokapeta area.The state govt will hold the auction online today.Officials have already completed the auction process.

In the past, an acre around Kokapeta auctioned for Rs 40 crore.This time around, officials say, the price is likely to be between Rs 45 crore and Rs 50 crore.

Officials say there is a huge demand for these lands.The government has divided the total 49.92 acres of land into eight plots and fixed the minimum price per acre at Rs 25 crore.HMDA has named the venture ‘Neopolis’.

The price per acre is estimated to be between Rs 45 crore and Rs 50 crore.The government officials said that the leading real estate companies, pharma and hotel owners from Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore are keen on these lands.

About 100 companies are expected to participate in the auction.
