San Francisco, December 29, 2018 : .Tesla’s electric vehicle company Elon Musk has launched the AMD Ryzen chip in its Model 3 Model Y cars. According to Electrek auto-tech website, a leak has revealed that the Model 3 and Model Y, both made in China, will come to Europa with the AMD Ryzen chip.This is the same chip that powers the Model S, Model X, and Model Y Performance, made in China.
The report also stated that the 12v lead-acid battery would be replaced by a lithium-ion system.
According to the report, electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has begun production of Model 3 and Model Y, with these changes made in the USA.
Electrek reported earlier that the performance of the center display was significantly improved in an independent test using the Model Y Performance China model with an AMD Ryzen MCU chip.
Tesla cars have often experienced 12-volt failures, despite having a 12-volt battery.
The report also stated that Tesla, which is a world leader in battery technology has used an outdated battery chemistry for its 12v system.
