Tension in AP town as TDP organizes a protest against remarks made by the former minister

Vijayawada on September 11 : Tensions were high in Gudivada town of Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district on Sunday as a result of protests by the TDP’s members of the opposition TDP against the former minister Kodali Nani over his remarks against TDP president N.Chandrababu Naidu, general secretary Nara Lokesh, and women the leaders of the TDP.
Police arrested Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders who had reached Gudivada and were taken towards the police station to file an accusation against Nani MLA from Gudivada.

The leaders had left the TDP office The police arrested the leaders.

The group included the former minister Uma Maheswar Rao as well as the former chairman of RTC Varla Ramaiah.The leaders arrested were taken to Gudur police station.

A few more TDP leaders arrived in town by APSRTC buses or two-wheelers for the protest.They were headed to One Town police station to submit the complaint, but they were stopped by police officers, who had put up barricades.

The police officers advised TDP leaders to present their complaint.However the TDP leaders demanded that they could visit the police station to submit the complaint.

There was a heated dispute between the two parties which led to jostling and pushing.

In the midst of the chaos, some of the leaders were able to get rid of the barricades of police.

Protesting slogans against Nani They walked to the police station, but found the gate locked.They questioned police officers for closing the gate in lieu of receiving their complaints.

The police officers let four leaders into the premises.They filed an allegation against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and demanded that he be removed from office.

The TDP has taken a firm stand to the comments that Nani made Nani about women the leaders of the party as well as in the case of Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.

In the past, a group of TDP members from Krishna district filed an accusation with Tadepalli police officers against Nani.

Instructing the YSRCP MLA to keep a lid on his mouth, TDP leaders declared that Nani will be escorted away from Gudivada soon.

Women members of TDP have also tried to take over the Nani’s house of Nani in Gudivada on 6 September.
