Gunasekhar who is a screen writer and director, born on June 2nd, 1978.Gunasekhar Started his Career as Director, he made his first film Laati in 1991, which won Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director.In 1995, he directed Sogasu Chooda Tharamaa for this Gunasekhar received Nandi Award for Best Feature Film .Gunasekhar directed the Children’s classic Ramayanam (1997), which won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film, including several state Nandi Awards for that year, and was screened at the International Children’s Film Festival of India. Some of Other Movies he directed are Choodalani Vundi(1998), Manoharam in 2000 brought Nandi Award for Best Feature Film and Nandi Award for Best Story Writer to Gunasekhar.Later he directed Mrugaraju(2001).After two years he got a chance to work with Mahesh babu in 2003 for Okkadu and he received Nandi Award for Best Feature Film, Nandi Award for Best Director, Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu.
The 2004 drama film Arjun was screened at the International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section.For Sainikudu(2006) and Varudu(2010) he won Nandi Award for Best Special Effects.Then He directed movies Nippu(2012), Tevar(2015) and In 2015, Gunasekhar made a fantastic historical film Rudramadevi With Anushka
