The Hyderabad meteorological department forecast heavy rains in Telangana on November 11 due to the low pressure in the northern and central Bay of Bengal.It is likely to intensify further by the 13th, resulting in heavy rains in many parts of Telangana.
The Meteorological department had forecast light to moderate rains in parts of Telangana on Friday.
In this context, the Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathore has directed ITDA and Tribal Welfare Department officials to remain vigilant in the wake of heavy rains in Telangana.
She advised the officers to send reports to her office every day on the conditions in the agency areas.
Recently, she held a video conference with ITDA and other officials from the Tribal Welfare Department office.
She warned of floods due to the continuous heavy rains in the state.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Sathyavathi Rathore directed steps necessary to be taken to admit pregnant women to hospitals according to their delivery dates.
It was also suggested that all measures be taken to prevent seasonal diseases due to rains and medical camps be set up.Also, she said that an officer-in-charge should be appointed for each zone in the agency area to send reports.
