The junior doctors of Telangana ended the strike.The state government, in talks with junior doctors, agreed to a 15 percent rise of their stipend.
The increased stipend will be effective from January 1 this year.The government has increased the salary of senior residents from Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,500.
The state government has released official orders related to this.The junior doctors called off the strike following the government’s assurance.
The government has also responded positively to the demand that the family members of doctors and health workers be provided special treatment at NIMS Hospital if they become infected with the coronavirus.Also, the state medical department has decided to set up a special desk at NIMS Hospital for this.
