Government has readied infrastructure and Manpower for any emergencies if the second wave hits the state.
Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender said the health department is prepared to tackle any situation if Covid-19 second wave hits Telangana State in the coming months.
While interacting with Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan through video conference on Monday, the Minister said the health department is preparing for such circumstances since a month.All the healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses to non-clinical staff, are fully prepared to tackle the situation.
The State health department has made sure of Covid-19 diagnostic tests, including RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests in all Hospitals, CHCs, PHCs and even in sub-centres.The Health Minister said, there is no shortage of Oxygen supply, and almost all hospitals have enough stock.
Also, Etala Rajender has asked to provide the guidelines and a roadmap to distribute the Covid-19 vaccines.
On the other hand, Telangana recorded 857 new Covid-19 cases and four casualties taking the overall toll to 1381.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 2, 51, 188 till Sunday.Nearly a total of 1, 504 persons recovered on Sunday marking the recovery tally at 2, 30, 568 that helped the recovery rate to be at 91.79 per cent.
