In addition to increasing strength at the field level, the BJP has focused specifically on constituencies where the party is weak.According to the party’s internal survey, the BJP is in a good position in several constituencies in Telangana.

However, the BJP state leadership has for some time felt that the party situation in the SC reserved constituencies is not as good as expected and therefore needs to focus more on these seats.Recently, the BJP state leadership announced a key action plan on how to move forward in this regard.

State President Bandi Sanjay, who was present at the BJP SC constituency coordination committee meeting, commented that SC constituencies are the key to coming to power.

It has been revealed that the Bahujana Padayatra will be held in SC constituencies from April 14 for 2 months.

He made it clear to the leaders that the national leadership would look into the selection of candidates and the allocation of seats. In fact, the BJP had recently suggested to the party ranks that party leaders should work towards the goal of winning all the 19 SC reserved constituencies in Telangana.

To this end, the party also conducted reviews on the situation in the SC constituencies under the name “Mission-19”.

The party, however, wanted to select strong candidates to contest in the SC reserved seats first.

The leaders were of the view that the focus should be on these positions with a slightly different strategy to the rest of the constituencies.Although leaders at the state level have expressed these views, the party plans to move forward in line with the ideas of the national leadership on the issue as the selection process of candidates in the BJP will be taken up entirely by the national leadership.
