Teja Sajja’s ‘Ishq’ Postponed As Theatres Shut Down In Telangana

We have already reported that child actor turned hero Teja Sajja is currently working with wink sensation and ‘Oru Adaar Love’ fame actress Priya Prakash Varrier for an upcoming psychological thriller drama titled ‘Ishq‘.This film is an official remake of the acclaimed Malayalam romantic thriller of the same title and the Telugu version was supposed to release on the coming Friday which is April 23rd.

Now the latest update is that the makers of this love drama have announced that they have decided to postpone the film’s release in view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in the country.Also, the theatres in Telangana are shut down from today and the government of Andhra Pradesh imposed 50% occupancy regulation in cinema halls.

So the makers feel the this is not the right time to release their film as they won’t get enough footfalls.

“With an alarming rise in #Covid19 cases, keeping public safety in mind, we have decided to postpone our theatrical release of #ISHQ.

We will release the film when the time is right; we request everyone to be safe.We are all in this together.

RB Choudary is presenting the film, whereas Megaa Super Good Films is bankrolling it.The film is directed by SS.Raju and the movie is coming up with a tagline “Not A Love Story”.This film also marks the comeback of producer RB Choudary in Telugu films.It has been seven years since RB Choudary bankrolled films in Telugu cinema.Stay tuned for more updates!
