TDP corporators protested by introducing Zero Hour for the first time at Kakinada Municipal Corporation meetings and demanding discussion on public issues in Kakinada city.
They urged the authorities to take steps to dispel misconceptions among the public on the OTS policy and to hold lengthy discussions on it at council meetings.
They wanted to discuss the decisions taken by the present government on double bedroom houses built during the tenure of the previous Telugu government and take a decision to give houses to the beneficiaries.
City residents will be asked to discuss the actions taken by the Kakinada city administration officials on seasonal diseases and the measures being taken by the authorities to control dengue mosquito malaria pigs dogs mosquitoes as per the action being taken in each division.
We want the council meeting to discuss how to dispel misconceptions among the public about the garbage tax, the toilet tax, and the way the authorities are bothering the public.
They said the people and opposition parties, NGOs should hold a lengthy discussion on general funds and smart city funds so that the facts are known to the public on allegations of misappropriation of funds by municipal authorities and the ruling party.
We want to discuss with the authorities that it is undemocratic for the Municipal Corporation to work without paving the new building and to have a lengthy discussion on the issue of setting up the Kakinada Municipal Corporation office in 4 areas and not only the people but also the authorities.
The Telugu Desam Party corporators have asked the Hon’ble Mayor and his officials to reserve measures as Sumoto to set aside zero hours and discuss all the embarrassing issues facing the people of Kakinada city.
