Chandrasekhar Rao challenged the BJP National General Secretary in Charge for Telangana Tarun Chug to a debate about the performance of both the state and central governments over the past seven years. He stated that Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the BJP’s state president was available to debate the chief minister about the performance of the Narendra Modi government at Centre and Telangana Rashtra Samithi government (TRS), in the state.
Tarun Chug addressed the BJP workers in Bandi Sanjay’s one-day protest program ‘Nirudyoga Deeksha’ to ask for the government’s full filling of all vacancies.
Sanjay is also a member of parliament and was sitting in a day-long fast here at the BJP state offices in Nampally.
The BJP planned to organize the protest at Indira park, but the police refused permission.This forced the saffron party into changing the location.
Tarun Chug claimed that 600 Telangana youth committed suicide after the TRS government did not provide jobs.He remembered that KCR, Chief Minister of Telangana had told the youth their lives would change after Telangana was formed.KCR also promised every household a job.
KCR leader and his government would not be able to escape the curse of 600 families, said the BJP leader.He claimed that youth are angry in the state and that there is an imminent volcano eruption.
Tarun Chug stated that the TRS government must clearly state how many of 2 lakh government department vacancies were filled.
KCR, he claimed, had also reneged on its promise to provide Rs 3 016 monthly unemployment allowance for every youth who was unemployed.
KCR promised every household jobs and a golden Telangana, but his family is the only one to have benefited from Telangana.
He stated that BJP was the best alternative to TRS and asked party cadres for help to reach out to the people to highlight the failings of TRS’ government.
Vijayshanti (actor politician), former minister Eatala Rajender, and others attended the protest program.
Earlier K.T Rama Rao, the state minister for information and technology, slammed Bandi Sanjay’s hunger strike.He claimed that he indulged in opportunistic political activities because BJP leaders couldn’t explain to people why the Centre was unable to offer jobs.
Rama Rao is the TRS’ working president.
He claimed that the BJP leader tried to stimulate the youth and distract them from their job search and education.
KTR, the minister of state BJP claimed that more state jobs were created than was promised in an open letter addressed to him.Sanjay was advised by KTR to take a ‘deeksha’ at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, and to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the reason that 15 lakh vacant positions were not filled at the national level.
