Ignoring the Madras High Court orders, as many as 15000 people marched towards Chepauk in Chennai, with the majority from the Muslim community.The Palaniswamy government came in support of the CAA, budging to BJP, which is its main ally, and faced the wrath of the citizens.
In a statement lately, Palaniswamy said that his government would not allow any kind of move that is against the Muslim community.The CM called for communal harmony addressing the protestors.
Despite the Tamil Nadu CM repeatedly assuring that no one from the Muslim community will be subject to prejudice treatment under the CAA, the protestors are in no mood to heed to such words.All that they are demanding is a resolution against the CAA in the state assembly.
