The Taliban top leadership is being blamed for failing to defend their Xinjiang Muslim brother, who are currently under quash in China.

China blocked a Quran application last month, which angered them. The app has been “trusted” by over 25 million Muslims worldwide.

They use it to read the Quran or hear the recitation, to remind them of their daily prayers, to determine the direction for the qibla and to watch the live streaming of Hajj rituals in Medina and Mecca.

Almashareq.com reports that these Taliban fighters joined Islamic State Khorasan Province, ISIS-K, “to liberate Muslims from the tyranny imposed by the Chinese government and to rise up against their fascist regime.”

China is publicly insulting the virtues and sanctities of the Chinese people and prosecuting their Muslim citizens.Jihad has arrived against the Chinese government.”As long as we don’t use force against the Chinese communist government, this government won’t stop atrocities towards the country’s Muslim population.” The report quotes Mohajer, a Taliban commander in Herat province.

The website states that most Taliban fighters felt the same feelings about their leaders. While they claimed that China was the enemy of Muslims, the Taliban government openly sought cash from the Chinese government.

Omar Mutasim, another Taliban fighter said that any friendship or intimacy with a government stained with Muslim blood was forbidden. He added: “We expected the Taliban government would raise its voice to support China’s innocent Muslim. But unfortunately they remain silent.”

China is yet to recognize the Taliban government but it has engaged in dialogue with them and exhorted the rest of the world to integrate the Taliban.China is concerned about insurgents in the Uyghur-dominated Xinjiang area.

East Turkmenistan Islamic Movement, also known as ETIM (Uyghur Islamic Fundamentalist Organization), is an Uyghur Islamic extremist group that is active from Badakhshan’s China-Afghanistan border area.

It is believed to still have over 2000 fighters.China requested assurances from ETIM that it would not allow the Taliban to operate in Afghanistan as a condition of its continued support.China was informed by the Taliban that ETIM agents were being pushed to China so its security forces could deal with insurgents.

ISIS-K’s Uyghur fighters have been involved in a series of high-profile suicide bomber strikes since the Taliban took over Afghanistan. The IS-linked Khalid Media ridiculed the meetings in Kabul between Chinese leaders and Taliban leaders last week calling Taliban officials “prostitutes”, who are willing to accept official recognition from Beijing.

Many Taliban fighters joined ISIS-K, strengthening its position in Kabul according to intelligence reports.

“IS leaders recruit Taliban fighters and blame the Taliban because they are silent about the Chinese persecutions on Uyghurs. One UNGC report published last month stated that IS also has recruited militants from Iraq and Syria, as well as other conflict areas.”

IS propaganda paper The Voice of Hind promises “revenge” to China for imprisoning Muslims “en masse[sic]”, and vows never to allow Beijing “put out light of Islam in China.”

The paper states that “The friendship between Islamic countries and the Chinese government is a great crime.”

The anti-China campaign is not new.ISIS began releasing videos from Syria and Iraq showing Uyghur fighters attacking Beijing.Although the Taliban assured the Chinese leadership ISIS-K was not a threat to their country, Beijing’s intelligence agencies continue to monitor the rise of ISIS -K.

Chinese know that Haqanis are very closely associated with ETIM (Turkestan Islamic Party) and TIP.It was evident in the meeting between Chen Wenqing, China’s intelligence chief and Sirajuddin Haiqani, Afghanistan’s Interior Minister. They asked for Chen Wenqing to extradite prominent militants from ETIM or TIP to China.

Experts from Afghanistan believe that this is the strategy ISIS-K uses to position itself as the voice of Uyghurs throughout the region.
