Abu Dhabi, Nov 29, : , Captain Liam Livingstone was the man behind the bat as Team Abu Dhabi beat Deccan Gladiators eight runs in Abu Dhabi T10.The Deccan Gladiators couldn’t find a way for Deccan Gladiators to bat at the required pace and fell short of their target after Team Abu Dhabi posted a total score of 125/4 in their ten overs. Sheldon Cottrell struck out Tom Kohler-Cadmore, but Tom Moores made it clear that he was going to strike Marchant de Lange for two boundaries in the first over.This brought Deccan Gladiators’ score up to 21/1.
Moores succumbed quickly and Anwar Ali assumed responsibility for achieving the team’s goal.Livingstone was smashed by Anwar Ali for two sixes in fourth over.
He scored 18 runs with David Wiese, who bowled Danny Briggs in the sixth over.This brought the Gladiators up to 76/3.
But, Marchant de Lange turned the tables in Team Abu Dhabi’s favor when he threw out Anwar Ali and Andre Russell after the eighth over.Team Abu Dhabi put even more pressure on their opponents, with two run-outs in each over.
However, Wanindu Hasaranga kept Gladiators in the game, striking a six and four off Naveen ul-Haq’s batting, leaving his team with just 15 runs.Jamie Overton bowled an amazing final over, limiting the Gladiators’ runs to 117/8.
Livingstone, the captain of Team Abu Dhabi, was the one who led them to an impressive total in their 10 overs.Livingstone, who was 13/1, came into bat and played a brilliant innings of 59 runs in 24 balls.
He also had 3 boundaries and 6 sixes.
Philip Salt opened Team Abu Dhabi’s innings with a stunning performance.
He smashed captain Wahab Riaz for three consecutive boundaries in the first three deliveries.He hit two more boundaries in his next over before Odean Smith bowled him out in the third.
Livingstone continued to build on the momentum created by Salt and hit consecutive sixes against Odean Smith’s bowling during the fifth over.The skipper scored 20 runs against Tymal Mills’ bowling, before being outed on the ninth delivery.
Team Abu Dhabi scored 12 runs more in the final over to reach 125/4 in their ten overs.
