Abu Dhabi, Nov 23, : The Deccan Gladiators won their third Abu Dhabi T10 win after defeating Northern Warriors six wickets to the run.David Wiese was a star with the bat and took his team home after he came in to bat after the Gladiators had lost four wickets within the first four overs.Wiese teamed up with Tom Moores, a left-handed batsman, to create a 45-run partnership that saw his team rise to second place in the points table.Deccan Gladiators were chasing a modest total 71 runs, but both openers were lost cheaply by Deccan Gladiators.Andre Russell came to the crease in the second.Russe’l was only able to stay at the crease for a short time, however, Imran Tahir caught him in his first over to reduce Deccan Gladiators’ to 20/3.Samit Patel conceded 11 runs in the fourth over for his first three deliveries, but he came back strong to remove Anwar Ali with his fifth delivery.
To make Deccan Gladiators’ chase a little more difficult, Tahir conceded only eight runs in the next over.
