And , lastly, the study revealed that Indians were in favor of expanding India’s nuclear arsenal to a level that is higher than that of all rival countries.
When asked what number of nuclear weapons India required, the respondents stated: “An overwhelming majority, of 68 percent, believed that India required more than its adversaries.Only 13 percent of respondents believed that India should be armed with the same amount of nuclear weapons as its adversaries and only a few thought that India should have only “a few” or “not any nuclear weapons.”
