The latest talk in film Nagar is that ace director Sekhar Kammula is planning a sequel for his 2010 released film Leader which stars Rana in debut.The director was recently in chennai for the trailer launch of the film Anamika, which features Nayantara in the lead.
Apparently, while addressing the media, Kammula was asked if he would like to work in Tamil as well.Replying to the question Shekar kammula says that he had a dream of working with super star Rajini kanth He expressed his interest instantly and said that he would love to remake ‘Leader’ with Rajinikanth if given an opportunity.
The class director said that Superstar Rajanikanth was an icon and no one could reach the stardom which Rajanikanth had achieved over years.‘’I have always been an admirer of Rajinikanth.
I grew up watching his earlier films like Anthuleni Katha and it’s amazing to see his rise to fame as a cult figure today.I desperately tried to meet him after ‘Leader’, but I did not get a chance.
I wanted to make a Tamil version ‘Leader’ with Rajanikanth.I believe he has the power to change the governments’’ Shekar said However there are many who are doubtful about Rajini doing this movie since the superstar has made it clear that he is not at all interested in anything related to politics.
Since the movie has been produced by AVM productions there is a possibility for this movie to happen in this combination provided these productions interfere.
