Stoinis Not To Be Formally Charged For Questioning Bowler\'s Action

Stoinis not expected to be accused of questioning the bowler’s actions

London 15 August : Australian cricketer Marcus Stoinis may have drawn criticism for allegedly asking the legitimacy of Mohammad Hasnain’s bowling actions during a game in The Hundred but the Australian all-rounder is not facing any formal sanctions for his lapse.
As a player with Southern Braves against Oval Invincibles, Stoinis was surprised by an earlier one from Hasnain and was caught in mid-off in Brave’s seven-wicket loss on Sunday.

When he returned to the dugout Stoinis imitated a bowling motion with throwing motion.

However on Monday, ESPNCricinfo reported that though Sotinis was confronted by the match referee Dean Cosker, he will not be officially accused with an infraction of the code of discipline of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Social media platforms, Stoinis was widely criticised for his attempt to challenge the legitimacy of Hasnain’s bowling move.

“This is unsettling! Hasnain has been cleared and it does not have anything to have anything to do with Stoinis,” wrote former player Azeem Rafiq on Twitter.

“Who is Marcus Stoinis think he is? He was exiled by Mohammad Hazan tonight in #TheHundred. And he began to signal as if Hasnain was laughing! Disrespectful, really! If you’re not able to play him, you’re aware of which dressing rooms are available.

Ricky Ponting isn’t your name, take a swig!” wrote an avid cricket fan on Twitter.

Hasnain returned to the game in June, after having redesigned the way he played after he was penalized for chucking in a game in the Australian Big Bash League (BBL).
