Kolkata Knight Riders triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to register their first victory in the IPL 2020 season.
With this, the men in black have moved up to 5th place ahead of CSK in the points table.While the much talked about the team, SRH has fallen to the last place with two consecutive defeats.
Earlier, SRH won the toss and opted to bat first.Without much glitters in their innings, Sunrisers have posted a respectable score of 142 for 4 in 20 overs.
Middle-order batsman Manish Pandey was the top scorer with 51(38) followed by the captain Warner 36 (30) and W Saha 30 (31).
Looking at the batsmen KKR has, the score posted by SRH seemed not enough.
Though Sunil Narine got early for a duck, opener Shubman Gill smashed an unbeaten 70 off 62 and recorded a 92-run partnership with Eoin Morgan (42 off 29) that made the chase so easy.
In their next, Sun Risers Hyderabad will take on Delhi Capitals on Tuesday while Kolkata Knight Riders is going to face Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday.
