Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently hectic busy shooting for his most ambitious project Spyder.The Telugu – Tamil bilingual directed by AR Murugadoss has Rakul Preet in the female lead.
While NV Prasad is producing the film, Tagore Madhu is presenting it in association with Reliance Entertainment.Spyder has been shifted from June 23 to August 11 release.
Going by the whispers in filmnagar, the budget of Spyder has crossed it’s limits.Initially, the makers were estimating 80-90cr on the production.
Later, it crossed 100cr mark and now it is nearing 125cr mark as heard.If this is the case, then NV Prasad has to sell it at much higher prices to the distributors.This isn’t a great sign.
The film definitely need a blockbuster talk if it has to recover the money invested.
In other words, it should collect 150cr + share, with this rumoured budget and high theatrical business.Huge risk this is.But we can’t underestimate the stardom of Superstar and the Midas touch of Murugadoss.Trade believes that this combination is going to set boxoffice on fire.
