Rajinikanth received the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year and Amitabh handed over award to him.Rajinikanth who referred Big B as his elder brother did not hesitate to take blessings from India’s biggest star Amitabh Bachchan.Rajini fall on Amitabh feet and Big B tried to restrain it.All the guests wondered with the gesture from Rajini.
Speaking on the event Rajinikanth said, “I came here to receive an award and not to make a speech that too after such an excellent speech by Amit Ji.I have no words to speak now.About 5 to 6 times, I couldn’t make it to the IFFI before.This time I am fortunate and honored to receive such a prestigious award.I thank the Government of India and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
I dedicate this award to all my producers, directors, technicians and fans.Thank you very much”.
