Bengaluru, Nov 26th : , The Karnataka Police have started investigating the mysterious murder case A.K.Rao.He is the father of Harini Rao, a well-known Telugu film industry singer. The matter is being investigated by the Bengaluru Rural Railway Police.
Ayalasomayajula Kaliprasad Rao, also known as A.K.Rao was also the CEO of Sujana Foundation, which is run by MP SujanaChowdary.On November 22, Rao was found dead at the railway tracks between Yelahanka & Rajanukunte, just outside the city.
Police believe Rao was murdered over Rs 150 crore loans to fund a real estate development.
The railway police found his body on Monday.His forehead, wrist, and neck were covered in injury marks.Police also found a knife, blade, and pair of scissors close to the body.
Investigative evidence suggested that Rao had arrived in Bengaluru on November 13, on a business trip, and stayed at a top hotel.
On November 19, he spoke with his family for the final time.He booked a taxi from the hotel on November 21st and was found dead next day on the railway tracks.
His family suspects it is a case of murder.
A businessman filed a complaint with Sadduguntepalya Police in Bengaluru alleging that three men forced him to invest Rs 2 million in a company.
He claimed that deceased Rao was in touch.
The case is under investigation by police
