London August 16, : South Africa cricket team coach Mark Boucher is unimpressed with England adopting their new, aggressive form of cricket a moniker”Bazball and says that while his team also enjoys playing “aggressive cricket” but that’s not all that is needed on the field.
The term “Bazball” is now associated with England’s aggressive style of cricket since Brendon “Baz” McCullum became the Test coach for England, with several critics calling it reckless.

England however, have been rewarded with great success in playing exciting cricket, winning the sweep of the three-Test series against New Zealand and then thrashing Indian in the fifth Test that was rescheduled.

The Ben Stokes-led team will face Dean Elgar’s South Africa — currently in the top spot of in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) rankings in the series of three tests which starts at Lord’s beginning on August 17.

“I am aware that they’ve named their style here (Bazball).We haven’t given ours an official name.We believe that we’ve been playing an excellent style of cricket, and we’ve been in some tight matches of recent in which we’ve come out with the best results.We’re keen to be aggressive in our cricket, but you need to be intelligent,” Boucher was quoted as saying in Daily Mail.

“Nothing can be different for us.The game is an England against South Africa series and there’s always plenty of excitement in the media.There are a number of things are discussed, but the truth is that it’s a match between ball and bat.you need to make certain decisions at specific times of the game.” Boucher said.Boucher.

The term “Bazball” has not been well received with South Africans.South Africans, with skipper Elgar having said in the past he does not feel awestruck with England’s style of play of cricket.”The modern England style is very interesting.But I don’t believe there’s a long-term viability in the sport of brave because I’ve seen things even out with the course of time in Test cricket.” Elgar said recently adding “There was a lot of parity between England and New Zealand (during the Test series) and If New Zealand taken their opportunities and their chances to catch and catches, the outcome could have been quite different.England would have left with eggs on their faces.”
