Odisha: 2 people were convicted of stealing snake venom, worth Rs 1.50 crore

Bhubaneswar : , Nov 20, 2018 : .Police in Odisha have taken over 1kg of snake venom, whose value is approximately Rs 1.50 crore, and two people were arrested, officials from police said Saturday.
Two people are planning to make a sale of 1kg of venom at Tarang village, under the Reamal district police boundaries of Deogarh.

This information was confirmed by Deogarh’s district police.

Police quickly rushed to Sindurpank in Sambalpur after receiving the information and found the suspects posing for customers.

The officials stated that two people were found with approximately 1kg of snake venom in a glass container.

The two, Kailash Chandra Padhi and Ranjan KumarPadhi were then arrested.

An accusation has been filed against him and an investigation is underway.
