Nagari Urban Police takes the Driver into custody who informed first about the robbery.
Smartphones worth Rs 2 crore robbed from a Container vehicle which is going to Mumbai.
The incident has happened in Chittoor at Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border on Wednesday.Nagari urban police said that the miscreants have thrashed and knocked down the driver, Irfan, as soon as the vehicle arrived at the border and ran away with the container.
Injured Irfan, who is on his way from Sriperambudur to Mumbai, went to Nagari town police station and complained about the robbery around 8.30 AM.The Nagari police took Irfan and searched for the container which is found near Puttur at 11 AM.
The police have informed about the spotting of the container to the company’s officials.After rushing immediately to the spot, the representatives of the company have found that nearly 8 bundles of smartphones which are worth Rs 2 crore have been robbed out of 16 bundles of smartphones.
The Nagari Police suspect a foul play and arrested Irfan based on the complaint filed by the representatives.
