Chennai, November 19, : .Director Venkat Prabhu calls actor Silambarasan, better known by Simbu, a delight to direct.
He says that the actor is exceptional in his film Maanadu, due for release on November 25. Venkat Prabhu stated that Simbu and S J Suryah were the most challenging characters to play in the film’s time loop concept.
Venkat Prabhu revealed that the actor had shot seven minutes of a scene in one take.
The scene features Simbu (playing Abdul Khaliq) and S J Suryah (playing a police officer).
We shot Simbu’s and S J Suryah separately, which was how the scene came together.
Venkat Prabhu stated that Simbu was required to look at the camera while delivering his lines.
He also said that his performance caused tears in the eyes of the whole unit.
Film director Richard M Nathan shot the film and Suresh Kamatchi produced it.
