New Delhi, Aug 18 : Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote an open letter to the Centre to get the remains of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. In her letter to Prime Minster Narendra Modi, she said: “As we celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and vow to take pride in our heritage as component of the “Panchpran” I write this letter in to support of the plea of Ms.Anita Bose Pfaff, daughter of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to bring his final remains to India.
“It will be our greatest honor to pay tribute to Netaji’s sacrifices and dedication to the independence of India by realizing his last desire of returning to Indian soil.
“I ask you to take an note of the request of Ms.Anita Bose Pfaff .You should swiftly take any diplomatic and other steps to bring Netaji back home and acknowledge his immense contributions in the freedom of India.struggle.This will be a dedication to our forefathers who gave their lives in the name of freedom for India.”
According to the National Archives, Netaji’s remains are stored in the Renkoji Temple in Tokyo.
