Patna : , Nov 18, 2018 – Three people, including the principal, were arrested in violation of the Nawada liquor ban. All three of the arrests took place late Wednesday night, and they were all found drunk.
Sanjay Kumar Tarun (principal of Inter (10+2) school Rajauli), along with Sandeep Kumar, Udesya, and Udesya, were seen roaming around Jajpur Tola village, Rajauli’s police station.
Since a string of alcohol tragedies occurred in Muzaffarpur and Gopalganj districts, Bettiah, Samastipur and Samastipur over the last 20 days, Bihar Police has been on alert.
Darbari Chaudhary was the SHO at Rajauli’s police station.He also visited Jajpur Tola village to inspect.He observed that the three men coming in opposite directions were drunk.
They tried to run away from us when we stopped them for breath testing.
After a short chase, we have taken them into custody,” Chaudharay stated.
We have done a breath test on the alleged suspects, which confirmed their alcoholism.They have been booked under the Liquor Prohibition Act.”They will be presented before the duty magistrates on Thursday,” Chaudhary stated.
On Wednesday night, Kanti district block statistics officer was taken into custody in drunken condition and sentenced to prison.
