The bench also stated it was not a purpose in the ringing of dead horses, because the bigger issue has already been resolved by a five-judge bench , and the petitioner has died and the contempt petition against respondents has been closed.

The order comes as a relief BJP leaders, including Uma Bharti, Vinay Katiyar and others, who filed the basis of a petition that was filed by Mohd Aslam alias Bhure who died in 2010.In November of 2019 the five-judge bench ruled on the issue of title in Ayodhya case in favor of the Hindu side in the construction of Ram temple.

Bhure’s counsel requested the court to replace the petitioner with an amicus curiae which was rejected by the Apex court.
