Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu made strong comments during his speech at an event organized by University of Hyderabad and ISB (Indian School of Business).Gracing the event, the VP of India spoke on how ‘money’ influences modern-day elections (and politics).
‘Vote for Cash isn’t new anymore. It has become a standard practice in elections. The political leaders are offering the 3B – Beer, Biryani, and Bus, to the common public during the election time.Development can only happen when the voters are away from the 3B policy’, he said.
He also rightly pointed out that frequent elections have further increased the rate of 3B Policy adoption by political parties and leaders.‘Somewhere or the other we see elections taking place within 6 months.
Just recently were the Maharashtra elections concluded, and now we have Jharkhand getting ready for elections.Such is the situation. This is only increasing the usage of 3B Policy to influence the voters, he added.
This is a clear sign that Venkaiah Naidu to is promoting the call for ‘One Nation, One Election’ as soon as possible.
He concluded the speech by uttering the same.If the elections can be conducted once in five years, the people will have more clarity over the manifesto offered, and agenda of the political parties.
