Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan believes that it is crucial to promote the rich cultural heritage of India on a global platform like the Cannes Film Festival.Sara, known for her roles in movies such as “Kedarnath,” “Simmba,” and “Atrangi Re,” recently attended the 76th edition of the festival.

During her visit, she walked the red carpet and participated in events at the India Pavilion.

Expressing her views, Sara stated, “I believe in the significance of promoting our ‘Indianness.’ Our country is incredibly diverse, with a multitude of languages and deep-rooted emotions.It fills me with pride to be able to represent and discuss these aspects on an international stage.”

Sara was invited to the festival by the Indian pavilion as well as the Red Sea Film Festival, where she was encouraged to celebrate women’s contributions both behind and in front of the camera.Speaking to PTI at the IIFA Awards and Weekend, the 27-year-old actress shared that three words define her as an individual: ‘woman,’ ‘actor,’ and ‘Indian.’ She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to embody all these aspects.

When it comes to her future endeavors, Sara expressed her openness to working in various film industries, be it regional cinema or the Western film industry.

She expressed her eagerness to explore the vast array of languages within India and also mentioned her interest in Hollywood projects.

Sara’s upcoming movie, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” is a family drama in which she stars alongside Vicky Kaushal.Praising her co-actor, she described Vicky as an exceptional performer, generous collaborator, attentive listener, and a wonderful friend.Sara considers herself privileged to have Vicky as Soumya’s Kapil in the film.
