Noted tennis player Sania Mirza called on the Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday.It is learnt that she congratulated KCR on becoming first CM of Telangana and requested him to promote sports sector in the state.
According to reports KCR has announced a grant of Rs, 1 crore to Sania Mirza.
The grant is towards training, coaching and to meet other expenses to attend the US open and other tournaments.
After meeting KCR , the tennis player said that it was a courtesy call.
She said she reminded the Telangana CM that she was running a tennis academy in Hyderabad.Responding to this, KCR was asked her to meet her once again on Tuesday at Secretariat.
The Chief Minister will present the cheque on Tuesday.
